computer crashed "blue screen" "dump physical memory" What do I do?
Hello, I have a Dimension 4400 and this "blue screen" came up a couple days ago and said something about "physical dump memory error message"...I have seen this before and usually, I would just reboot and everything is fine. This time it would not let me reboot so I had to actually unplug the computer. Now, windows won't come up at all. I put the windows cd in the drive to try to get it to boot but it won't recognize it. Does this mean I have to reformat the harddrive? Could I buy a "flash disc drive" to put in the USB port (wondering if that would help it boot)? Obviously I'm not expert. Can you give me any advice?

go to start,
programs,accessories, system tools, and then system restore.
Try a date before the problem started and see if it works.

..your trying to reinstall windows, or use window O S cd that came with your dell to fix problem right?when u reboot computer tap f2 when u see bios screan loading, then you will enter bios setup, curser down to boot sequence hit enter and make sure disk drive is checked on and listed before hard drive then tap escape until you see save changes and exit press enter, should boot to disk if thier is bootable disk in drive. this may be why it isnt booting off disk. at least this sounds like what problem might be.
