If I log off and shut my computer down like I am suspose to then turn it back on it says floppy diskette seek failure or i get the blue screen with the stop;Error message 0x0000007B. I have another problem if i log off my computer and shut it down and unplug it, when i plug it back up it come on with out me ever touching the button. Can some one please help me. Hi Ditchwitchnay,

Sounds like a couple of things...

First, the BSOD x00007B is related to the hard drive controller, meaning that the mode the hard drive is in doesn't match any of the drivers within the operating system.

So, if your drive had the Operating System loaded while in AHCI mode (in BIOS) and then the BIOS was changed to (ATA) you would get that BSOD and vice versa.

Seeing as though you're receiving an error about your floppy as well leads me to believe that either the CMOS battery (about the size of a quarter on the motherboard) is bad or your system is stuck in some kind of manufacturing mode.

Do you have a floppy drive physically in your system?

Have you seen any messages before entering Windows indicating that the system is in some mode?

I don't have floppy drive on here. After I recieved the new hard Drive from Dell I call them and we had to change the wire that plugs in from the Motherboard to the Hard Drive. We change it around. Then the computer went to working. Dell helped me install the Windows XP and the other Drives on here after that. I called Dell when i got the blue screen and the person had me to go in and changewhere it said RAID then we got the computer back on but the blue screen or stop errors come up it I turn off computer and unplug it then when I plug it back up the computer come on by ITSELF and then i get one of these errors. So I have to leave it running all the time. No other messages.       When I turn on computer i see the blue Dell log then i get black screen with this on it...Serial ATA AHCI BIOS, Version iSrc 1.02.23. 11212006  Copyright (c) 2003-2006 Intel Corporation     Controller Bus#00, Device#1F,Function#02:02 Prots, 02Devices Port-00: Hards Disk, WDC WD1600AAJS-75PSA0 (This drive is controlled by RAID BIOS) Port-01: CD Rom, Phillips DVD +/-RW DVD8881     ACHI BIOS instlled     Intel (R) Matrix Storage Manage option ROMv6.0.0.1022 ICH8R  Copyright (c)2003-06 Intel Corporation.  All rights reserves.      Floppy Diskette seek failure    Strike f1 key to continue,F2 to run setup utility.         I strike f1 and Microsoft Windows loads and then I click on my name and click on my internet and go online.
