If you haven't already seen this, you also need to recognize that there are differences between
CD-R and CD+R; they are two totally different formats. Same for CD-RW vs. CD+RW and other formats. Some drives will use more than one format. From a quick look at the online manual, it looks like this drive isn't one of them. Stick with the CD-R or -RW for your personal burning on this drive. Check the latter pages in the manual - it tells you what formats and which speeds you can use.
You sure you don`t mean DVD-R & DVD+R format. I thought CD media only came in the one favor, CD-R & CD-RW, CD+ didn`t exist.
I couldn`t find any information on Google for CD+R or CD+Rw.
