Starting all over

I want to completely refresh my computer. That means get rid of everything on it and start new. When I restore from the disk it still has everything on it. This is the list of Disk that i want to put on my computer: Reinstallation CD Microsoft Windows XP home edition service pack 2, Drivers and Utilities for reinstalling V.9(capable)/56k Data/Fax Modem software for Microsoft Windows, Drivers and Utilities Dell Resource CD, Roxio Creator My DVD Combo LE, and Word Perfect productivity pack. What order should I load them. Someone please help

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

You first need to install the Windows XP followed by the service pak 2. After you have loaded them you can install the drivers cd. Install the chipset drivers before installing any other drivers. You can then load the video, sound,network,modem. After the drivers are all loaded you can then load the software.

I don't have the Windows XP, I have the Windows XP service pack 2 and the other disks that i listed

Try Contacting Dell for the XP reinstallation disk.

You will find it's best to call Dell.

I think everyone is misreading your post.... or I am. It looks like you said you have the XP reinstall disk that INCLUDES sp2. If that is correct then you should have what you need. What you'd be installing is XP with SP2. You wouldn't load XP, then SP2. It happens at the same time.

yes that is what i meant. that the re-installation cd includes the service pack2
