Remove Metas

Question

I used the options in Control Center Configuration\Meta Device configuration I selected the metas I wanted to remove, chose REMOVE. It successfully removed them, but they are still showing up under Unmapped Devices\Meta parity RAID 3+1 Devices. They should show up in 'Unmapped\Standard Raid 3+1', so that I can create new Metas.

i don't use ECC a whole lot ..but aren't you supposed to dissolve the meta next ?

If the whole process ran under ECC the last step on the screen should have said something about updating the ECC repository. I've closed the window before this and had similar results. It should clear once the symm agent refreshes the info and you restart the console. If not, its a bug!

Please run symcfg discover#To discover all Symmetrix arrays connected to this host & rebuild Symmetrix configuration database filestop and restart Symm Agent including SDM agentthis should refresh meta status on ECC
