Hi, Oli. There are no generic tools available within Windows to determine this, but
we do have a software application called StoragePro which can be used to model
your access patterns with pretty high degree of precision. If the load is fairly stable,
over time (i.e. not changing from random -> sequential -> random), and there is a
fair load on the storage subsystem (i.e. it's not at idle most of the time) then you can
get a good idea.
If you are interested in pursuing this, I would encourage you to get in touch with Marty
Campbell in our Sales group. She can get you started in the right direction. Her e-mail
is martyc@ethosinfo.com, and she can be reached at 757-645-9121.
Thanks!
