Dell SupportAssist App - Intel Management Engine Driver update issue

Having difficulty downloading the recent Intel management engine Interface Driver.  When attempting to install, a circling status icon comes up.  I've allowed it to run for at least an hour, but get no change in status.  Seems to bog down memory and I have to use Task Manager and end a bunch of tasks to return to normal.  The file size of the driver is 93MB.  Anyone know the exact process this update is attempting to perform?  Or any thoughts as to possible problems?
