Anyone running 72 code in production?

We've been at 71 code for a while now on our DMX-3's... 72 code has some features we would like to use, especially the ability to do away with hard-to-manage LUN offsets.

So, anyone using 72 code in production, and if so how is it working and did the upgrade go OK?

sfuhrman,

Herwig is correct. From a numbers point of view, there are 100+ systems running 5772 microcode to date in a Customer environment. If you would like more details on that number, etc, your area service representative can assist you in that data.

I look forward to Customers with 5772 microcode give their input.

We have a DMX3 with 72 code, but the DMX3 came with that code. Does that count as well ? ;-)

We noticed however a considerable speed increase in configuring meta's and mapping compared to DMX3's running 71 code. I think the 72 code might be up to twice as fast as the 71 code.
We haven't done an upgrade yet, although I'm asking my CE for that for half a year now.
Another advantage is that you can mix different RAID5 levels on the same DMX now ((3+1) and (7+1)).

I was reading this morning a customer presentation about code 72 that told exactly the same things you wrote .. Sometimes salesman don't tell you lies !! ;-)
