Creating symclone session for a device group

I have created a device group with SRC and TGT devices and want to create a symclone copy session on the device group itself, instead of creating session by specifying a single SRC and TGT device in a command line.

any ideas.......

symclone -g DG_Name create -tgt -diff -copy (or any other options you want)
symclone -g DG_Name activate -tgt

you could use -exact ..then they will be paired the way they are listed in DG. I suspect if you do not specify anything it will emulate -opt by default ?

I knew these 2, but I'm not sure whether or not you first need to establish each source device with a clone. I mean: suppose you have 4 source devices in your DG, how do you know which target (clone) is connected to each source dev ?

I was only wondering.... Now you mention it, it sure seems familiar what you're saying.... -opt by default sure sounds good...

Who knows for sure ?

But you don't need to establish first ? And after that the create and activate ?

actually if you run establish it will do both ..create and activate in one step. It implies the -copy and -diff options.

Business wise I would say you're right, but just for me, at home ? An old Symm with a relatively recent Enginuity code on it.... ebay ? No.... even there, they're too expensive.

Thanks for your reply dynamox

What i wondering about is i didn't find the "-tgt" option anywhere in Solutions Enabler Docs.(Even in Command reference doc also)
My requirement for asking this question is i want to assign dedicated gatekeepers
for a device group. But i'm not aware how to create/activate a session for the complete DG with a single command.
I think i can proceed my activity of assigning dedicated gatekeepers to DG.

Is it right??

But still..... I'd love to have a Symm @ home to be able to play around and test several commands. I have no clue what the impact is on my energy bill, but I guess that if it's really bad, I can talk to my boss about it and place it @ work..... But first I need to get one ;)

I'm not talking about a 128 disk machine (or 1000 or whatever).... just a small one with a minimum number of disks and a somewhat recent Enginuity would be enough. It's just for testing....
