SRDF/S and Dirty Tracks

Hi all

If using SRDF/S and in the event of a Link failure between sites - what is the maximum limitation of dirty tracks that can be accumulated on the R1 before it Impacts the Array's Performance or the servicing of Host IO to the Device.

Should be unlimited, as the Symm only marks the tracks as "owed" to the R2 in "disk" mode (invalid tracks on the R2 mirror)

Hi Quincy56

Thanks - that was also my understanding but just couldn't remember...... So in essence the only limitation would be the actual capacity of Dev or Meta in question, where all the tracks in that Dev will therefore be marked as "owed"?

Yes.

If you owe 100% of the data on the volume to the target thats as high as it gets.
