Just to clarify, are you asking how many drives are already installed in each storage bay? (each bay can hold 240 drives)

I'm not sure if you can get it broken down by bay (without looking for yourself or asking your CE), but you can take your total drive count and subtract from 720 to find out how many drives you can theoretically add without buying another storage bay.

I say theoretically because depending on your performance requirements you may need to spread things out more and may need to add additional DA pairs/cache depending on how things are configured today. Just because you can physically have 720 drives with your 3 storage bays doesn't mean that you want to without changing something else.

The safest way to be sure is to engage your Account Team (or even just your local CE) to discuss current config and options.

Hmmmm... that will be even more difficult. You can use Solutions Enabler to get the hypers on each physical disk, and relate this back to STDs which you can then trace to which are in use, but I don't think there is any way to remotely tell which storage bay a particular drive is in. I guess it depends again on how many DAs are installed and how the disks are associated with the DAs. If there are standards used for deployment n the field I've not heard of them.

Once again I think your best bet is to ask for your CE's assistance. They may have an easier way of pulling this info together for you.

Even you can get the information about the No. of DAE's in Storage Bay using symcfg command :) envirnoment information but its difficult to tell the disk associated with which DAE's and storage bay.I think you can get the information from SMC.

If SMC can show details on DAE and Storage Bays, it fetches the details from Solution Enabler. Thus S.E. should be able to provide details, too :-)
I don't have a DMX available for tests but I bet you can dig deeper with XML output ;-)
