2162DS running v2.4.0 hangs
This problem is easy to reproduce and has been confirmed on 3 different 2162DS units, all running v2.4.0. @CaliphAlexander has seen this problem as well.
- Start 2 remote console sessions to the same 2162DS.
- Leave the sessions running for several hours.
- At least one of the sessions, usually the first, will hang. The statistics in the session window will show a fps of 0 and bit rate of 0.
- If you close the hung session and re-connect, it will hang again almost immediately.
- At this point, you have to reboot the KVM to recover.
This is doesn't seem to be a client-side issue; I can reproduce this problem from both Linux and Windows desktops. It also doesn't seem to matter which SIPs the target hosts are using.
Dell, could we get one more patch for the 2162DS to fix this problem?

Hello coredump4,
I'm sorry to see you have session hangs.
Can you update to v2.6.0 , FL0651, and let me know if that resolves it?

Thanks Charles,
I'd love to try v2.6.0, however the 2162DS images should be FL0639. 2162DS users went through the same thing when v2.4.0 first came out: an FL0651 image was posted, but the system rejects it. Is there an FL0639 image of v2.6.0?

Heya coredump,
I *might* have found what you're looking for. Could you check it out and let us know?

Should be the 3rd bullet point under digital. I'll link to it directly here, but wanted the parent link too, in case this doesn't redirect properly.

Hello coredump4,
I've got a request to an engineer to check into this.
Please allow me some time to hear back from him and I'll update you.

Hello coredump4,
I received an update. Unfortunately there is not a 2.6.0, FL0639 and no update of 2.4.0 FL0639 other than the posted one.
If you need a patch request it was advised to call into support to start a normal support case so that this can be investigated fully and escalated as needed.

Thanks Charles.
Unfortunately, my 2162DS units are no longer under maintenance. Hopefully another customer with a supported 2162DS will see this and open a support case.
thanks!
