There are several issues here which can contribute to the problem.
1. FAST and Array Manager do not work together, which is probably this cause of the original problem. I would recommend uninstalling FAST altogether.
2. Array Manager 3.5 includes the version 2.8 firmware and drivers for the Perc 3/di. The install program first warns you of the firmware and then will install them for you.
3. The "Battery Reconditioning" prompt is coming from the Perc 3/di. This task should be accomplished every six months to ensure proper cache functionality. Once you get FAST uninstalled and the Array Manager installed properly, simply right click the Perc 3/di controller and choose Properties and then Recondition.
One of our other moderators alerted me to something I had overlooked in your original post. It appears you are running the native Operating System (I assume Win2003) drivers for the Perc 3/dc. This is common issue that the Array Manager does not work properly with the native OS drivers.
This is the latest drivers available for each controller:
LSI Logic, Driver, Windows Server 2003, v.6.41.2.32, A03 CERC ATA 100, PERC 4/sc, 4/dc, 4/di, 3/sc, 3/dc, 3/dcl, 3/qc FileName: perc-cerc-w2k3-6.41.2.32-A03.exe [105 KB] Release Date: 2-23-2004 http://support.dell.com/filelib/format.aspx?releaseid=R71521
