Asset Tracking - System Specs via XML

Question

I am writing a small Asset tracking app. Is there a way for me to query the Dell database with service tag and have the query return XML output of the service tag queried? I know about the manual method (and love it). Example, enter http://support.dell.com/getxml=GGHH123 and have it output XML of the system specs.   Anyone know?

What kind of specs are you looking for? How the Server is maintained, or as sold? If you are looking for as maintained, may I suggest using DSET. It is a utility you can run on your Dell Servers running Windows or Linux. Its output is in XML format, and it captures many configuration items about your server.   http://support.dell.com/dset
