Blade Names - Embedded remote access Managed Console

Hi
 
I am new to Dell server hardware and blades in particular.
 
Can someone explain to me how to name a blade in Embedded remote access managed console (ver 1.44)
 
All the servers are by default named server-1, server-2, server-3 etc with the service tag info present.  How do i change server-1 to for example XXX1

I am assuming that you are talking about a PE1855/1955?  You can change the name.  You must have your DRAC/MC firmware updated to 1.3 to do this.  Logon to the DRAC web interface.  Click on the Configuration tab.  Click on Server under the tab (far right choice).  Click on the name of the server you wish to change.  Change the server name in the Value box and click on Apply Changes.
