Cannot Clear System Event Log (SEL)
I am working on fixing an OpenManage DRAC issue with a PowerEdge 1850 server. The System Event Log for this server cannot be cleared (thus causing the amber light on the front of the server to
remain blinking). It is currently filled with "ECC Single Bit Correction detected" errors for DIMM A of both Banks 1 and 2 as well as "correctable memory error logging disabled" messages. Clicking on "Clear Log" on the System Event Log does not accomplish this task (the page refreshes but the log stays the same). The most recent firmware was downloaded and installed but this did not fix the problem.
Can anyone make any recommendations?

What's probably happening is, you are clearing the log. The memory logging is enabled and fills the log again with bit errors. When it's full, it disables memory logging.
To test this, remove the reported faulty ram from the server, move the other stick bank 2 dimm b across to bank 1 and restart. See if that has a difference to the logs.
Then phone tech support.
