Cannot download OMSA 5.5

Question

We have a few older PE 2650's still in service. Some are running OMSA 5.4 and others are running OMSA 5.5. I am trying to upgrade one of them to 5.5(and eventually all of them), but I am having difficulties finding the download. The download page for the PE2650 only shows OMSA 5.4 and OMSA 7.0(which is not compatible with a PE2650). After searching for a while I found another link for the download, but it leads to a "We're sorry, details for this driver is unavailable" page.

As far as I know, OMSA 5.5 is the last compatible version of server administrator for a PE2650. Was there a problem with OMSA 5.5? Did Dell pull it?

Check http://ftp.us.dell.com/sysman/. This folder still has the OMSA stuff in it. You may need to download a few things before you find the actual software you're looking for, as the filenames aren't 100% descriptive of what they are, but if you start by looking for '5.5.', the search shouldn't be too bad.

You can still get 5.5, although its link appears to have been pulled from more than just the 2650 - the 2850's Other Versions shows all the previous versions back to 1.x but SKIPS 5.5. Its removal/absence would forces the next most recent version to show as the default/latest for the 2650, which would be 5.4. I was/am not aware of any issues with 5.5, and I have run it a several machines. However, I would hold off upgrading to 5.5 until you find out why it was removed and that all is clear to continue using it.
