Hello,

We have a Dell PowerEdge R420 that requires some TLC. The LCC appears to be corrupted, as we cannot boot to it and the system itself will disable LCC and place it in Recovery Mode after 3 failed boot attempts. We were hoping a simple BIOS update would address the issue, but it did not. The system is on the more recent BIOS update from Feb. 2019 (2.6.0).

The system currently has iDRAC (7) Basic functionality, but we only get the option to apply a DRAC license, or upgrade the firmware. Additionally, the DRAC doesn't always load. Sometimes it just loads a black screen without a login, sometimes we get a server refused connection error, and other times, the login is taken, but all we get is a blank DRAC menu with a loading circle graphic and nothing ever loads.

How do we go about addressing the issues with LCC and DRAC? Do we need to purchase a DRAC Enterprise license to allow us to both remotely manage the server and have access to LCC and other settings within the DRAC console? Do we need to upgrade LCC via FTP from with the DRAC console if we can get that stabilized as well? Also, can we upgrade the iDRAC from v7 to v9?
