Dell Poweredge CPU temp
Hello,
I have a Poweredge R730 and the CPU temp is always at 62-64 degrees Celsius, this is about 15 degrees hotter than the same server types in the same comms room and rack. Does this seem abnormally high?
Interestingly the fans are running about 500 rpm lower than the other models. I have checked the server for dust/obstruction to air vents etc and re-done the thermal paste on the 2 CPU's.
Would anybody have any comment on this?

There could be different reasons for this: the sensor is showing the wrong temp, the cooling did not work very well, or the CPU/Mobo is defective.
You should do a backup and check if you need a repair.
