Let me be more clear ... you CANNOT repair the OS with SBUU.  The only thing that SBUU will do is help you re-install Windows, and it will WIPE OUT all information on your current disks!

You said Server 2003 will not boot - it just keeps rebooting at the Windows screen.  If you want to fix this, you must boot to the 2003 CD to Recovery Console.  Since 2003 cannot communicate with the drives without a RAID driver, you will need to load the RAID driver (below) from a floppy disk at F6 during Windows Setup (the very first thing you see when booting to the Windows CD).  Since your T300 probably doesn't have a floppy drive, you will need to use nLiteOS.com to integrate that driver (text-mode) into the 2003 media.

If  you don't care about the data on the disks and want to wipe everything out and re-install Windows, then use SBUU, but that doesn't sound like what you are trying to do.

RAID drivers:

Use this if you have a PERC 6/i:

Use this one if you have a SAS 6/iR:

I'm a little confused as to what CD you're looking for now.  If you ordered your T300 WITH Server 2003 installed on it, you would have received two disks:  Windows Server 2003 (may have been two disks if you ordered R2) and Systems Management Tools and Documentation (SMTD - this would contain the installation utility that has all the drivers for installation).  If your OS will not boot, the SMTD disk will not help you, unless you plan to re-install Windows and start over.  If you need to repair your OS, you will need an OS disk.  That OS disk can only be legally downloaded if you have an account with Microsoft allowing for the download.

You can use any 2003 or XP CD to boot to Recovery Console.  If you are attempting an actual Repair Install, then it will have to match the key you have (Retail, OEM, VL, Standard, Enterprise, etc.).

These are the only links you'll get here for downloading the software:

http://www.msdn.com/

https://eopen.microsoft.com

If you do not have an MSDN/Technet membership or a Volume License Agreement with Microsoft, then these will not work for you.  You can try searching the Internet for replacement media.  You could try contacting Dell to see if they have any left - only if it is 2003 R2 though.

If you are looking for the SMTD disk (keeping in mind this will NOT repair your OS - will only assist in reinstalling your OS, and CANNOT be used for a Parallel or Repair Installation, as it will wipe out all existing partitions), it can be downloaded here (mind the instructions to merge the two ISO images together after download):

If all you need is the installation utility (SBUU - System Build and Update Utility), it is here (SMTD is the all-in-one and contains SBUU):

It's against board policy to provide links where you can download licensed software.

Check some other threads as there is a way to request Dell to resend media. Otherwise you could use the CD from any other (Windows 2003) server to do the repair as the media isn't server specific.

SATA vs SAS makes no difference.  Either SATA or SAS can be connected to to either the PERC 6 or the SAS 6, so use the drivers above, based on which controller you have.  If you're not sure, watch as the system is booting up and see if you see a PERC 6 with a CTRL-R prompt or a SAS 6 with a CTRL-C prompt.  You could also enter your Service Tag at support.dell.com, go to Warranty Status, and change tab to Original Configuration ... see what controller shipped with it or post the details here (without posting your Service Tag).

IF you have the drives connected directly to the motherboard, then you will need the chipset drivers.  Let me know if you have the drives connected directly to the motherboard, and I will get you a link to the chipset drivers.  If you are unsure whether they are connected directly to the motherboard, check the BIOS (F2) to see if it shows drive details there ... or just open the case and look.

Glad it worked out for you!

As for the AV ... I really have only used Symantec, so I'm not sure I am the best person to comment on what might be better.  It seems to do what we need, but there might be something better out there.

actually you cannot get server 2003 anymore. It is impossible.  Just find someone else who has a copy as long as you have your own product key you are okay
