Dell Repository Manager - Error loading repository
I've seen a few posts with the same subject, but none with solutions.
Using Dell Repository Manager 1.4.113, on XP and Win7.
I've tried on a few different machines, all with the same error.
When trying to load the Dell online repo, i get "Error loading repository. Catalog not found in source location."
I can use the web browser to connect to ftp.dell.com and manually download catalog.cab, and use that as a base for a repo, but then it doesn't appear to download the bundles/components.
I used previous versions to create deployment bundles.
Any tips?
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply Jeff.
It appears to be the configuration of the proxy server at our end. It allows direct access to ftp, but http must go through the proxy. It's the combination of ftp/http and the way our managed proxy handles it.
A change request has been put in to allow direct access to the dell sites required.
Cheers.

First, if your network has a proxy server, go into the settings and make sure Repository Manager knows about it. If there is no local proxy, then check to see if your firewalls are stopping communication. If you think all that should allow it out, then try again, the FTP site may have been undergoing maintenance.

Hi Bill.
We are still working with the guys that manage our firewall. Our change request only got approved recently, and the managed services company started to look at the issue yesterday.
I'll be sure to post the solution when we have some success.
