DRAC Console display to MacBook
I would like to run the DRAC console connection from a number of my servers off of my MacBook Pro. The console display part works fine, but when I get the console up the keyboard mappings from my MacBook are all out of whack.
Is there a way to launch the console with an alternate key map or in some other way get it to properly connect on my MacBook?
Thanks,
Tom Hanstra

i really couldnt find anything internally on using a Mac with the idrac. The only thing that I can think of is you are probably using Safari as the browser. Not tested or supported. if you can, try Mozilla to see if it makes a difference, Mozilla is a supported browser.
Here is the drac users guide just in case you would like to take a look, but I didnt see anything that would help you.

I'm trying to connect to an R610 running an IDrac6. I'd be satisfied if I can get things working with iDrac6 and better.
Thanks,
Tom

Well, Mozilla is what I am using.
Actually, because my local PC is not on the same subnet as the DRAC what I am doing is running Firefox from a RHEL6 server which is on the same subnet and displaying back to my MAC. So, the Firefox is actually running off of the Dell R610 running RHEL6.
It occurred to me that maybe it was the console keyboard mapping which might be the problem. Might you know of documentation which can update the console keyboard. I could try some various options to see if another keyboard would work better.

I'm assuming the server console is a tty setup, it should have a keyboard mapping connected to it. I'm wondering if the console keyboard map might be something that can be changed which in turn would be used by the iDrac6 "virtual console".

No, sorry for the confusion.
I have an R610 server with an iDrac6 card and VLAN connection. From that server, I run firefox with a Java plugin installed which displays on back to my MacBook. So, my Mac is not directly connected to the iDrac. It is simply the display location.
Since my Mac is not on the same VLAN, I cannot directly connect to the DRAC card.
I may have to find a way to more directly connect to that card. It might well be the redirection that is causing me some of my problems.

the link above is pretty much it as far as the docs go, (but the link doesnt work)
try this one: www.dell.com/.../integrated-dell-remote-access-cntrllr-6-for-monolithic-srvr-v1.9
then click Manuals and Documentation (twice)

so just to be sure that I am clear, so your mac is connecting to an idrac, which is controlling another server's idrac?

Hello,
Easiest thing is to switch the iDrac plug-in from Java to HTML5
