DSET zip error ?

Hi again,
I use DSET 1.3/1.4 either one etc... and when I try to create a report, (dellsysteminfo), it errors at the end with:

"zip error: Invalid command arguments (encryption not supported)"

So it doesnt make a report at all.

How can I fix this?

I have uninstalled/reinstalled both versions of DSET along with the srvadmin using srvadmin-install.sh etc.

TIA

Thank you for posting. First make sure you are running DSET on a supported Linux OS. Next you can use sh -x ./delldset_v1.4.0.8.bin to produce verbose output while the DSET is in progress. This can help determine where the point of failure is by analyzing the output.

Additionally, make sure the partition that houses your /tmp directory has ample space to zip the report. If you can't get DSET to run, you might be able to run a sysreport and send that to your technician that requested the DSET report. Thank you.

still no go. Running RHEL3 update 4. I did notice i can get most of the report out of the /tmp directory. Some files wont copy but at least I got most of the info i needed off the html page etc...
I would like to know how to get this to work still. I have it on many other Redhat 3 servers and have not had this problem.
On this server which was setup with defaults etc /tmp is under "/" which has 1.3G free so that cant be it... maybe we need an fschk, idk.

Thanks.

Thank you for the reply. Since this is primarily a Linux and DSET issue, I suggest posting your question in the TechTalk->Software->Linux Forum. You might get a better answer there. Additionally you can call our tech support at 8008228965 and ask for our Linux Support. We have many skilled Linux Technicians here at Dell who may be able to help you better. Thank you.
