Thanks for posting! If you have already reinstalled the Storage Management subcomponent and it didn't work, try uninstalling OMSA completely, then run om_clean. You will find it in the extracted directories where the self-extracting executable put the install files. Reinstall OMSA, and that should fix it.
One of them I built with BUU 5.3.0 DVD ISO + W2K3 slipstreamed with SP2 from scratch for testing and it produces the same error as another that used the OMSA service pack to upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3.
Uninstalled 5.3 and OM cleaned - went to 5.2 and no problem. Uninstalled 5.2 and OM cleaned, reinstalled 5.3... error back again.
Latest patches from Dell have put a real dent in my faith... both my old equipment and my new 19/2950s have had issues with the 5.3.0 release.
What I really don't understand is how three of my 1750 don't have a problem and one does.
I also agree that this update did not seem to go well. The OM 5.3 package wont import into It Assistant correctly (still thinks it is 5.2) and now with the DVD it is not compatible with all of my servers( most dont have DVD drives) My company also is almost completely Windows based and I would like to save the download time and not get the Linux drivers.

Also chiming in about this annoyance:
#1 - If someone is looking for om_clean, look instead for OMClean.exe. (I used the one on the DVD at \sysmgmt\srvadmin\support\OMClean)
#2 - OMClean.exe doesn't help resolve this issue.
Uninstalled Server Administrator 5.3.
Ran OMClean.
Restarted.
Installed Server Administrator 5.3.
Card: PERC 4/Di
Driver: 6.46.2.32
Firmware: 422D
Versions are latest as of today - 3/19/2008
Man I hate ignorning warnings...but evidentially that's what I have to do here.

Same error here.

Can someone from Dell look at the issue please?

The same thing happened to my PE1750. I uninstalled Dell Open Manage v. 5.4 and Installed Dell Open Manage v. 5.5 and that fixed the problem.
