Error Installing OpenManage Management Station 4.5
Near the end of the install I get an error popup:
SYSTEMSMANAGEMENT: Could not set registry value for ITA database file.
The only option is ok. The same error pops up twice more referencing the ITA database Log file and the ITA database collate name.
Then the installation stops and rolls back the changes and terminates with the message:
The wizard was interrupted before Dell OpenManage Management Station could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified.
I am installing with administrator rights on a Windows XP Pro workstation (SP2).
Would appreciate any assistance in getting this software installed successfully.

Hi,
First uninstall all OpenManage Management Station 4.5 software plus Java Runtime v1.5.x.Then install OpenManage Management Station 4.4.It should install with no problems.Configure Management Station as you like and finally install OpenManage Management Station 4.5 in order to upgrade to the most recent version.
I haven't found a good reason why this error appearing in the first place.

Thanks - that worked when I followed your instructions - at least I am running on 4.4 - haven't upgraded to 4.5 yet.
What is interesting is that I still got the same errors, but with Java uninstalled, it let the install finish.
You would think that Dell would let you know that in most cases you need to un-install Java before installing the OpenManage...
