Error setting up software source when installing centos 8
Hello,
I'm trying to install centos stream 8 on a Dell PowerEdge R440. My steps were:
- Open virtual console
- map the iso image as CD/DVD drive
- boot from CD/DVD
- Select "Install CentOS Stream 8-stream"
- When the installation menu appears I need to select the "Installation source" and when I select the CD/DVD it returns "Error setting up software source". Screenshot below
This is the "storage log"
I've also tried reboot and select "local ISO file". But I'm stuck at the moment. I would appreciate any help. Thank you before hand. I can provide any additional information.
Best regards,
Diego.

Dielenram,
To me I would look at it being the OS itself, as it isn't fully supported on the server. As seen here, Centos support is available directly from the CentOS community at their website here.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the response. I downloaded centos from the same page you shared. Unfortunately, I still couldn't fix it. I'll post here if I find a solution.
Thanks,
Diego.
