Hi,

To ensure this is not a false error message, I would recommend updating the System BIOS, ESM Firmware and the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator.

Clear the ESM log from Server Administrator

I would also recommend moving the memory Dimm reporting failure to another slot, to see if the error is in the motherboard or Dimm.

If the memory error returns, contact technical support for possible parts replacement.

Dell ESM Firmware, PowerEdge 2550, 4400, A56

Note: Extract the files to a DOS bootable floppy disk. Boot the server to this floppy disk, and run smflsh.exe.
