iDrac 7 Virtual Console connection fails using html 5 on work computers...
I hall I have a fairly elderly Dell PowerEdge T620 with an idrac7 enterprise licence.
When I try and connect to the virtual console I get the popup message; You have a SSL certificate for remote presence port. You should close this window now. Then either the console window (behind) either closes and I get no message or I get the message "network connection error".
The idrac is set to use html 5 and I'm using the latest Microsoft Chromium browser. (I tried with ie11 and get the same error).
If I use my PC at home with the same browser VPN'd in, I still get the first message but the console works as expected.
Clearly there's a browser setting that's different but I've no idea what it is.
Any ideas ?
thanks in advance,
Paul.

Hello,
Can you check your iDRAC version at first, but there is a general limitation in iDRAC "When using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome to access the HTML5 virtual console from a Windows operating system, the floating menu at the top of the window may not be displayed." page 12
https://dell.to/35ImmPm
Also you can check Internet Explorer / Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and uncheck Use SSL 3.0 Close and reopen IE
iDRAC latest version https://dell.to/3bIzojK
In your firmware browser, disable popup blocker or a plug-in like adblock if you are using it. After update, you can try the supported browsers here. https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/idrac7-8-lifecycle-controller-v2.65.65.65/idrac_2.65.65.65_rn/what-is-supported?guid=guid-58b8bc62-cd1a-413d-8831-966ef725ef7c&lang=en-us
Supported web browsers
Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
Microsoft EDGE
Safari version 8.0.8
Safari version 9.0.3
Mozilla Firefox version 57
Mozilla Firefox version 58
Google Chrome version 62
Google Chrome version 63
You can check if the presence port has been changed. You can change the plug-in type to java or use it with different browsers.
