Incorrect Driver Information for Controller PERC 4e/Di

Hi, Newbie here.

We have just installed OMA 4.4 on our new 2850s. Within the Firmware/Driver information for the Controller PERC 4e/Di for all servers OMA reports that the driver is out of date. It states that the Minimum Required Driver Version is 6.46.2.32 and the installed version is 5.48. However when you check the driver version within Windows Device Manager the version IS displayed as 6.46.2.32. We have re-installed the driver using the self extracting package from Dell's website, rebooted and OMA still states that the version is out of date. Firmware is correct at 521S

Anyone got any clues?

Sorry should have stated that OS is server 2003 with SP1.

Well if you are certain the driver is up to date then it could be the firmware?

It is frustrating that they release a new version of OM, but not SUU that matches it then we get hit with PERC firmware/driver issues when we attempt some scheduled updates. Of course we should test, but isn't this supposed to be making life easy for us?

I have just resolved this issue on a number of my systems. The problem is not firmware, and uninstalling/reinstalling OpenManage does nothing.

What you need to do is rename C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mraid2k.sys to mraid2k.old and then reboot your system. I believe the cause is that the new driver is mraid35x.sys and OpenMange stops checking when it finds mraid2k.sys.
