IT Assistant & KVM

Is there any way to tailor the snmp messages that are sent to IT Assistant via a KVM that specifies what server the KVM is connecting to as apposed to just "Local Port"?

If that makes sense....!

Thanks for posting!  I am not sure I understand your situation correctly, but are you saying that your servers are sending SNMP messages through a KVM to ITA?  They should be sending the SNMP messages directly to the ITA system.

hi, the servers are working fine with itassistant just we'd like our Dell KVM to be able to send more specific alerts to itassistant. at the moment when someone changes screens via the kvm it sends an alert to itassistant but only says its conecting to the local port.  is it possible to tailor it so the alert would say servername1, servername2 etc as opposed to local port.

thanks!

I don't think the KVM can send a message with that information, you might want to try the PowerEdge Rack HW group to see what is possible there.
