IT Assistant Server Low Disk Space Warning

Hi Everyone,
Is there a way to setup IT Assistant ver. 7.1.0 to alert administrators when ever a server is running out of disk space?
Please advice.
Thank you,

BFL

Yes, I would also like to know about this.  I've been scouring the web for it and it looks like it's possible, but I just haven't figured out how yet.

Anyone know how?

Thanks!

IT Assistant and OpenManage Server Administrator don't have that functionality.  They don't read the file systems that are on partitions of disks.  That's something that is more at the level of OS management.

Here's an article on Microsoft's site about setting up alerts in Windows for this though:

And pay attention to Step 10 on that knowledge base article.  You can setup windows to run a program when that alert is triggered.  Maybe you can find some type of program that has the sole purpose of sending emails with command line options.  Alternatively, you can have it send a network message to another computer on the network.  Perhaps that would accomplish what you want to do.

If that doesn't do quite what you need it to, then you can look at setting up some type of WMI script to do this for you.  Or find other software that monitors disk space and sends alerts...

Hope this helps.

My system did not have any alerts set. A little searching turned up this thread http://hardware.mcse.ms/archive14-2005-11-250956.html in which the TweakUI option seems to be the answer. Good luck!
