Thanks for posting! If you follow the instructions on the error, it will look like there are two places to change the runtime parameters for Java, make sure you change it in both places.

I'm having the same error with IT Assistant 8.9.0 and Windows 2008 R2 64 bits. Have you found a fix?
My Java only has 1 line to change the heap and changing that value won't make difference with this problem.
Thanks.

can you post a screenshot of your java setting that you changed? Use the insert media icon next to the happy face, and upload a bmp or jpg file.

Sure, this is my current configuration.
If I remove -Djava.net.preferIPv6Addresses=true I can't log into IT Assistant due to a timed out session.

Try putting them in reverse order. This is working for me on 2008 R2.
"-Djava.net.preferIPv6Addresses=true -Xmx384M"

Thanks... this also worked for me:
-Xmx384M -Djava.net.preferIPv6Addresses=true
The problem was the 384MB that I was using.
Regards.
