KVM 2161DS2 asking for Password
We powered down our Dell 2161DS2 for weekend server room maintenance and when we powered it back on its now asking for a password. We have never been prompted for a password for this before.
This KVM also has a web interface that we are able to still access but without that other password we are unable to use the KVM locally in our server room. There is no option in the web interface to set or reset the local password.
After the Dell 2161DS2 is powered on and boots up I press PRINTSCREEN to bring up the menu. I get prompted for a password. The window shows AUTHORIZE in the title. The window states "Enter a password". There is an OK and a Forgot Password button.
We have tried no password and we have tried our web interface password but neither work here. This has never had a password set before for the local interface.
If you click the Forgot password link it says

Key: (a random number is shown here)
EID: ( an identification number is shown here)
Contact Customer Support for a single-use Emergency Password using the key shown above. Successful use of this password will remove the OSCAR password from the system.

This unit is out of warranty so Dell support is no help.
Does anybody still have access to this tool to get access to this single-use Emergency Password?

I'm Joey from Dell community enterprise social support. I can try to help reset it. You may need to PM me your KVM service tag, the Key and EID codes. You may need also to let me know the company details that the KVM belongs to. Also your full name, email and contact number.

Can you help me reset the OSCAR PW on a Dell2161DS? We never set a PW but it is asking for one. I have done a factory reset through the serial interface but this has not resolved the issue.

I should be able to help, but would need some additional information to do so. Would you please private message me the following;
Svc tag
Company name,
your contact details
lastly when you click forgot password on the oscar login screen, there should be a key listed, would you also include that code with your private message as well.
After that I can private message you the password.
Let me know.

@Dell -Charles R Sorry, I'm feeling kind of dumb here. I clicked your name, but on the screen that comes up I do not see "contact me" anywhere. I even tried a different browser, just in case it was a browser issue. I just setup this community account today. Does my account maybe not have full functionality on the first day?

@Dell -Charles R I have a similar issue if you're interested/willing to help out! I called dell support and have a ticket in but it sounds like it's pretty much a paywall there to get help. I just signed up so I'm not able to PM you yet.

Have a 2161DS2 which is password locked and it is a password which we did not set.

I also have a 2161DS-2 that is password-locked with a password that I did not create.
If I could DM you somehow, that would be great!
