LC2. Fails to update platform using ftp.dell.com
I just got R320. it has lifecycle controller 2. tried update platform. after few different popup windows got: "no update is available. make sure that the windows catalog and update packages for windows used."
network test works fine. windows 2008 r2 is installed.
help please

there are no updates in the catalog for the r320 at this time. There may be some on the support site, but those havnt been added to the catalog that LC2 uses. yet.

there is Test Networking on the update platform page. it works fine.
I set LC IP to DHCP just in case. it is something like 192.168.1.xx. There is no proxy. the server is in the office not DC. everything is simple here.

The LC's IP information is set separately from the OS, did you configure the IP, subnet, and gateway? Did you set up the proxy if you have one in your network?
