I was able to get the new devices in finally without an sql error by doing very small ranges or single IP. If I added more than 9 or so to a range it would error again,
Yes, you can launch the installer again and select only Dell License Manager from the given choices as shown below. That will install only the selected choice.
The updater did not work and my License Manager install is still at the old version.
I initially installed License Manager with OME using the combined installer (not stand alone download) so not sure why the LM installer did not update either when I updated OME to 1.3 and checked the box for LM then or now.
When I have time I will export all my licenses so I have them locally in case of a server issue, uninstall LM and try to reinstall it using the installer. If that fails looks like I get to wait for the stand alone LM installer. Do you have an ETA on that?
Running the LM installer directly yields same results as running it from the OME installer. It runs (modify checkbox selected) and says it completes but the app stays at the same version. There is only one install of LM on my system.
I am not sure why the install did not work for you. Try to see if this works:
From the folder where the self-extracting OME installer extracts the content, you can locate the License Manager installer package from the root folder at:
\windows\LicenseManager\LicenseManager.exe
You can also a zipping util like Winzip or 7zip to open the installer archive and locate this file.
I don't have an ETA on when the standalone installer will be posted. I will update this thread when it is available.
I have been using the updater/installer that came with OME 1.3 updater/installer and my License Manager version after running the updater still shows as 1.0.1.247.
Apologies for making you wait. Looks like there is an issue upgrading from the old version to the new version.
As a workaround for you to use the latest version, please follow the below steps, so you continue to work with the license information available from your old version.
1. Please make a copy of the database file from this location:

Any ideas why this is an issue?
All IPs are in the same /24

Cameron,
There was an issue in Dell License Manager 1.0.1 when you try to inventory a large IP range.
This is resolved in the latest Dell License Manager 1.1 release.
It is available as part of OME 1.3 release package currently. You will need to wait a bit for the standalone download to be available.
Hope this helps,
Kumaran

Thanks Kumaran!
I am already on OME 1.3 and still have the updater on my server.
Can I rerun and just select License Manager to update? If I do so will it do anything to disrupt my OME install?

Cameron,
If you see the modify screen when running the installer, it means the latest version is already installed.
Please check the version of Dell License Manager from the Help->About menu item.
The latest release should show version 1.1.0.47
Otherwise you need to extract the installer from OME 1.3 release package.

This is what I have been trying to tell you.

Cameron,
Apologies for making you wait. Looks like there is an issue upgrading from the old version to the new version.
As a workaround for you to use the latest version, please follow the below steps, so you continue to work with the license information available from your old version.
1. Please make a copy of the database file from this location:
%SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Dell\LicenseManager\LicenseManagement.sdf
2. After you have made a copy of the database file, please uninstall the version of Dell License Manager installed.
3. Now make a fresh installation of the latest version of Dell License Manager 1.1.0
4. Paste the database file copied in step:1 to the same location:
%SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Dell\LicenseManager\LicenseManagement.sdf
5. Finally start Dell License Manager and check if the version shows the latest version file.
Please note that all the old version related data should be available to you as long as you have a copy of the database file stored in step:1 above.
Please get back with your feedback.
Thanks,
Kumaran

Thanks Kumaran,
I will do that when I have time.
