Looking for Support Desk Ticketing Module
What we are looking for is someting like HP OpenView with Help desk module at a fraction of the cost and complexity
We are using OpenManage ItAssistant for nearly two years now and I am very satisfied with the product and its price point.
It is only laking one component. A help-desk ticketing system tied to the events.
Can someone recommend a tickeing system unified with OpenManage? What we want is the ability to pre-assign event catagories, the receiver would log onto the ticketing system and get info about the event, work the event, perhaps assign the event to another user, when corrected they could close the event and a formal history of events would be tracked in the SqlServer Database OpenManage uses.
Thanks in advance

I have been using Alloy Software's Asset Navigator for over 2 years. It's a great software with a wonderful and extremly easy to use help desk management system at a fraction of the cost of any alternatives.
Give it a look at http://www.alloy-software.com/. They have a free demo version, but you should write them if you want to demo the full version (including the User and the Technician web help desk).
The enterprise edition is using an SQL Database so if you have some knowledge of SQL it should be easy to interface it with IT Assistant.
