mr2kserv and Secure Port Server
Just a suggestion, but when your installation program installs the OpenManage Software and creates the mr2kserv service in Windows, it should provide a description as to what it is. When I fired up our new Dell server and found this mysterious service running that had no description I went online and did a search on mr2kserv. What I found was a lot of people saying that its a virus or a hack and to get rid of it. No one seemed to really know what it was.
The same would apply to the Secure Port Server. That just sounds dangerous. Any IT admin not familiar with your product would immediately kill it first and ask questions later..
Thanks...

Whats funny is.... the "Secure Port Server" used to be called "Server Administrator" which made sense, and you would know what that meant!
Then, Dell changed the "Server Administrator" program and now calls it "Dell OpenManage" which is nuts.... because OM is a suite of products. At the same time, they made the change to "Secure Port Server" and of course, didnt document this clearly.... so it left me with the same questions as you had.
Dell should brand ALL their 3rd part services with the name "Dell" in front, much like HP/Compaq has/does. This would keep them all together in the services list and at least let their customers know what the heck these things are...... for those of us who care.
