openmanage and raid status

I can see the the PERC H730 in my servers in opemnanage but I don't see any details (attached drives, volumes etc). I wonder if openmanage will warn me if a disk fails in the raid?

the megaraid storage manager that comes with the server has the notifications management cut out for whatever reason so i am not sure how I can get email notifications for a failing raid volume.

It's a T130 and Windows Server 2012R2

There is only repair and uninstall in  Add/Remove Programs for openmanage essentials. is there an updated version that I can download?

Paterler,

If the Storage section of OpenManage isn't showing at all then you will need to go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, and then select Change under OpenManage. You can then add the Storage section there.

If you do have the Storage section, and it simply isn't showing details then I would look at making certain that the server is up to date on BIOS, iDrac, Lifecycle Controller, as well as the H730.

If you let me know the server model, and OS,  I can get you those updates

Let me know.

BIOS 2.08

iDrac/Lifecycle Controller

H730 Driver / Firmware

If the BIOS is really far back then we will need to walk it up to current, as jumping too many versions can cause non-correctable issues on the motherboard. If it is behind then you can go here, then under BIOS you will see "Other Versions" you can use those links to find the updates needed.

Let me know how it goes.
