OpenManage installation hangs

Question

Hi Guys,   I have a PE2650 with 5 x 146GB scsi discs set up as 4 in a single raid 5 array and one hot spare.   Now I try installing OpenManage 8.2 and everythign goes through the motions and just before it populates the center of the screen with my options, the installation seems to hang and just shows that it is Loading...   I've installed OpenManage many times before and have not had this problem. Anyone care to guess what the problem may be? I dont know what other info I could possible put here. The array is optimal so no apparent problems there.   Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem,

It looked like it was checking pre-requisites, then it looked like it was about to install...nothing worked,

I tried running the installer remotely, from the server, using different java versions..

Tried everything on this PE1800, in the end we just have it running another version because Dell couldnt understand it either.

Im open to suggestions as to why the installer works on 2 other 1800s but not this one for some reason!

Thanks for the input. I could not get it to work at all so I shut down this and an identical machine, swapped out the drives and powered both back up and had no problem. It has to be specific to the one particular machine.

Finally, Version 5.4.0 of Dell Open Manage worked like a charm...     Seems I couldnt install any previous versions until this version.
