OpenManage Integration VM won't start

I have brought the OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter V2.3 VM appliance up in my infrastructure. Sadly, all I get is:

“Services haven’t yet initialized. Please try again in a few minutes. Password not set”

This has been going on for a couple of hours. Need some suggestions here.

 Thanks!

Hi,

Resolved my issue. I threw away the OMI VM, re-imported and powered up a "fresh" one. After leaving it alone to settle in for a few hours I was able to change the admin password and run its configuration. I'm up and running now.

Thanks to those who responded!

Hello

After you installed the appliance did you console into the VM and set the password and configure the network settings? It sounds like it is trying to bring the appliance online, but the password has not been set yet.

Thanks

Thanks Daniel - That is the message I'm receiving when I try to set the password. It's as though some required functions are not present.

I found a customer write up on the deployment. This customer says that the deployment instructions for setting the password and configuring the network settings are a bit confusing. Check this out and see if it helps:

Should I try re-importing the VM?
