Thanks a lot for your post.

You can create RAID 1 on your system from RAID controller configuration setting. Please follow the below mentioned step to create RIAD configuration on Dell PowerEdge R520.

1: Reboot your system and press Ctrl+R on RAID Controller configuration.{Instruction displayed on system boot screen}

2: Inside RAID controller select the primary controller and open the RAID configuration.

3: Select the RAID mode and HDD to configure the RAID.

4: After that initialize the VD and exit from RAID Controller configuration with save configuration option, and reboot your system.

Can you please let me know whether you want to create two RAID1 

For RAID creation there are many ways to create from Post OS & Pre OS

Pre OS:

1. Through Lifecycle controller- by pressing F10 in the POST
2. Through the controller BIOS- by pressing ctrl+R when controller got initializing in the POST
3. Through DTK – Using Separate media 

Post OS:

1. Through OMSS – Need to install OM on top of OS
