Powervault question

Thank you for posting. To properly discover MD Powervault Enclosures, you will need the Dell Modular Disk Storage Manager application, which is included on the Dell MD Resource CD, that came with your Powervault Device. Once again, this is used to assist ITA to discover MD storage arrays. Then in ITA, when creating a discovery range, on step 5, enable PV MD array discovery.

 

If you speak of Powervault tape devices, then it should be as easy as logging into the web interface of the tape device and setting a trap destination and community string. Get started and let us know how it goes. Also, let us know what Powervault device you are referring to. Thank you.
