Problems after deploying Dell Mgmt pack for SCOM 2007

Hello,   since i have deployed the Dell Mgmt pack for SCOM 2007 to our Windows Server 2003 systems i have two problems:   1) On all Dell machines wmiprvse.exe crashes from time to time.   2) For every Dell machine I'm getting the following SCOM error message: Alert on Failed Batch Responses / Script or Executable Failed to run:   The process started at 19:59:19 failed to create System.PropertyBagData. Errors found in output: C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health Service State\Monitoring Host Temporary Files 5\12656\DellServerProcessorsUnit.vbs(76, 1) Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Type mismatch Command executed: 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cscript.exe' /nologo 'DellServerProcessorsUnit.vbs' {70E9BE64-CB41-36C0-31DB-7D32A385E15B} {DD349022-DC9F-5EA5-3628-D57F9B04FC51} $Config/Computer$ 1 Working Directory: C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health Service State\Monitoring Host Temporary Files 5\12656\ One or more workflows were affected by this. Workflow name: Dell.Connections.ServerProcessorsUnitUnitMonitor Instance name: CPU2 Instance ID: {DD349022-DC9F-5EA5-3628-D57F9B04FC51} Management group: XXX     The problems where not resolved by updating to the latest management pack version v3/A02. Dell OpenManage Server Administrator is version 5.2.0.   Any suggestions? Is there a fixed management pack planned the next days/weeks?     Kind regard,   Marc

I'm seeing the exact same issue described above.  SCOM 2007; seemingly doesn't matter which version of Server Administrator is installed on the monitored servers (most are at 5.2); we have the Dell Management Pack A02 (3.0.0.27) installed on SCOM 2007.  This is an extremely annoying problem, as these errors constantly pop up after connecting to the affected servers through RDP, and all these annoying Script alerts show up in SCOM.  Is there a fix on the way Dell!?   Thanks for the consideration.  I'd be happy to provide logs/more info to Dell CS if needed.

I haven't heard a solution for this, but I have a couple ideas. First, try updating a system to OMSA 5.4 and see if that helps. If not, try the older version of the management pack:

Tried OMSA 5.4. No love. I keep failing on DellStorageControllerUnitMonitor.vbs at line 190. I looked at the script and it appears to be an issue with the script deleting the xml data from the c:\windows\temp folder. We also only run into this if the action account is running in low privilege mode.

Dell, please fix this!!!

OMSA is supposed to run as under the local administrator account, so it should not be running on an account with low privleges.

It seems the problems are gone with version 3.1 A00 of the management pack.     Kind regards, Marc
