Problems downloading Open Manage Server Administrator

Is there an FTP location that I can go to do download the Open Manager Server Administrator software?  The links in Dell Support Drivers & Dowloads won't work for me.  First of all is two 1.3gb files (size is not an issue these days so why split it?

I tried the browser download .  After you put in your STag, nothing happens.  No download starts. I tried with IE8 and Firefox.

I tried the Dell Download Manager. Looks like it is goind to work and then  I get an error before the first byte is transmitted.   I truly believe the proble is on that download link but how do you prove that.

Looking for a different download method.

I need it for a Dell PE1800.  I need to use Storage Manager to add 1 drive to a Raid 5 .

Thanks,

Bgroves

The link for OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) works fine for me in both IE and FF, but here is the FTP address for it:
ftp://ftp.dell.com/sysman/OM-SrvAdmin-Dell-Web-WIN-6.3.0-2075_A00.20.exe

However ... it is unclear which utility you are attempting to download.  If you are actually looking for OMSA, then it is at the link above, but it is only a single 125MB download.

From the two large images you described, it sounds like you are looking for Systems Management Tools and Documentation (SMTD).  That contains many the server utilities in one DVD, including Systems Build and Update Utility (SBUU) and OMSA, among other things.  This link also works for me, but here is the FTP address for them:

ftp://ftp.dell.com/secure/sysman/OM_6.3.0_SMTD_A00.iso.001
ftp://ftp.dell.com/secure/sysman/OM_6.3.0_SMTD_A00.iso.002

You will need both images and will need to merge them with the copy /b command, as indicated in the instructions.  The reason they are split up is because size IS still an issue in some circumstances, mainly the 2GB file download limit that some browsers have.  Depending on what you are trying to do, you may not need this huge download.

OMSA is the OS management utility that serves to monitor the system's hardware, including RAID, logs, memory, power, etc.

SBUU is the installation utility to simplify OS installs (if installing a 2008 version, you should use SMTD).

SMTD is an all-encompassing utility that contains SBUU (including the tools to install 2008) and can install OMSA during the install.

Having the same problem.  Chatted w/ Enterprise Support and they told me the FTP site was down.  Check back in a day or two.  Like that is a reasonable amount of time.  I've been checking since Friday, 9/17/10 and ftp comes up here and there, but not long enough for that size of download.  Pretty frustrating especially since my organization paid like $1800 for a higher level of support.

Too bad it doesn't include a dedicated FTP service in the event that the main server goes down.  Since this last post today, I have successfully downloaded OMSA and SMTD.

There may be alternatives based on what you are trying to accomplish.  Are you actually trying to download OMSA, like the title of the thread, or are you trying to download SMTD/SBUU as was indicated in the actual posts?  What system(s) are you working with?  What OS?  What are you hoping to accomplish with the downloaded software?
