Problems with OMCI 7.1.382
I am running the omci 7.1.382 version on about 600 computers all running windows xp sp1. Every 29+ days if these computers are not restarted they start having resource issues. Not able to save to c:\, browse network, connect to them remotely, and so forth. They are simply running out of system resources. If you restart the computer they are then good for another 29-30 days then it starts over again. However if you just simply restart the IAP.exe service, just stop and restart it, then the computer is fixed, for 29 to 30 days but then you have to do it again.
Has anyone else run into this problem with the IAP having a memory leak of some sort? Contacted dell and they wanted me to try out a dellsys.dll, however I will not know if it fixes the problem for 30 days. They said they were not aware of any issues with omci, however they could also not tell me where/how the new dellsys.dll came about.
Any help would be wonderful.

There is a thread about this issue somewhere on this board.
It's a handles leak...there would be a beta fix for this problem, filename R93902.
Would be aquired thru technical support only since its beta, so not public.
Myself I am in need of this file also, but I'm in Europe and don"t know how to get to this file.
Please, If you would aquire this file thru technical support US...email me the file.

Hello,
Thanks for the help, but I couldn't find the file I needed on the ftp.
Probably because they stated it was not for public release.
So, if anyone can still help me and get to tech support and email me the flle,
Would be very nice.
Thanks!

Dell has assured me that they have only had one other reported case for this. However if you contact dell they can give you a new dellsys.dll. There is a problem with thier omci, it supposibly will be fixed in the next version but untill then you will need to spend several hours on the phone with dell in order to obtain the new dellsys.dll. once you have the new dll stop the omci service, replace the dll and restart the service.
Hope this helps
