Supported devices in Power Manager list not clear

Hi Guys,

I've got a couple of R430's with the latest iDRAC 8 firmware all connected into OME and wanted to give power manager a try but i can't seem to add the devices.

I checked the following doc to confirm my R430's are indeed supported in Power Manager 3.0 but this conflicts with the following line when adding the indivudal devices in the OME power manager plugin

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/openmanage-enterprise-power-manager/pmp_3.0_ug/supported-model?guid=guid-84768709-1b7b-462e-8d45-b9ce01a90cb4&lang=en-us

"While adding the devices, Power Manager enables the required settings on servers running iDRAC version 4.40.10.0 or above"

As you might have guessed, R430's are on iDRAC 8 which only goes upto v2.83.83.83. I'm assuming the supporrted devices doc needs updating to remove all iDRAC 8 related devices?

List of software & versioning

iDRAC 8: 2.83.83.83 - Enterprise licence

OpenManage Enterprise: Version 3.9.0 (Build 55)

Power Manager Plugin: 3.0.0.190

R630 PSU:  FW: 00.0C.6F PN: 0X185VA00

Luket97,

Let me research the issue for you, as I haven't seen that before.

Would you confirm for me if you have the OME Advanced license or not?

Let me know.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the quick reply. I wasnt even aware OME had licences on its own! I though it was only the type of iDRAC licence you had that depends on what OME can do for the host its monitoring.

I downloaded the 90 day OME advanced trial licence and installed it on both R430's. From there I was able to add them to the power manager plugin within OME (after refreshing the host inventory within OME)

Thanks again!
