T310 CPU temperature on iDRAC6

Anyone out there got a T310 server with an iDRAC card ?

I recently took delivery of a T310 and when using the iDRAC card and looking at the Temperatures section the CPU temperature current reading was negative !

I spoke to Dell Technical Support and they asked me to update the server BIOS and DRAC firmware even though this was a brand new server.

After the firmware updates the Temperature section in the DRAC only showed the System Temperature, CPU temperature was no longer there !

Does anyone have a CPU temperature indication in the DRAC on a T310 and is it positive ?

regards

Colin

what you were seeing was the PECI temp. This sensor was not supposed to be monitored, and was probably removed in the firmware update.
