Hello arcolino,
I'm sorry to see the virtual console does not connect properly.
First thing to check is the DRAC firmware up to date?
Try a different browser, clear browser cache: IE, Chrome, FireFox
I would also recommend trying the HTML5 plugin and check results. This one works most times I see it.
I see a thread has possible solution for you : https://www.dell.com/community/PowerEdge-Hardware-General/R730-iDRAC-8-Java-Error-Network-Connection-has-been-dropped/td-p/6121815
Other things to check:
Possible Solutions:
*The issue can occur when the port 5900 is blocked by the firewall. 5900 needs to be open for Virtual Console connection.
*Reset idrac from gui, quick launch tasks.
*If the switch is set to 100/Full and the IDRAC network settings is set to AUTO negotiate, set the IDRAC nic to 100/Full.

*How to fix Java for iDRAC6 virtual console : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drhSo9Xl9M0
Please let me know how it goes and if you still have issues please let me know the Server model and iDRAC firmware you have.

Hello,
please can you try with jre-8u161 or jre-8u162?
And perform also a iDRAC reset with this procedure

Please let us know if it helps.

I use Java 7u21 for iDRAC 7 on windows server 2019. however java 6u14 and 8u333 failed on me. you can download here
https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/javase7-archive-downloads.html
installing new iDRAC version is not option for me as my service tag is expire

You can also go ahead and go in virtual console settings. Set the script to HTML5. refresh IDRAC and issue resolved.
