Hi. I am trying to run the Warranty Extraction task with the default values (60 days and 10 items). Everytime it fails with the below error
Status: Failed
Return code: 1
Start time: 11/23/2009 1:51:59 PM
End time: 11/23/2009 1:52:00 PM
Total run time: 1 seconds
Failed
Output Properties
FYI: Error retrieving warranty information!: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index Please ensure that you are able to connect to the Dell support site before running the Warranty Extractor Task. You may need to setup the Proxy via Settings / All Settings / Notification Server / Notification Server Settings. Please ensure correct credentials are provided.
The proxy setup works fine when clicking "test". There are also items discovered. What is this error referring to?
many thanks

I also am having this same problem.
I have run SQL profiler in an attempt to find a broken SQL query, however everything seems to be working OK from that end.
I have found the following two queries which run and return asset information:
This site also does not utilise a proxy server - the Altiris / DMC box has no restrictions on its access to the internet. I can visit support.dell.com and search for warranty information no problem.
The latest versions of DMC and DCM are also installed.
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,
Matt

Bad news guys...
It looks like the support website that we use to collect the warranty info has changed unexpectedly. We are looking into this and may need to post a hotfix to resolve.
Stay tuned...

Hi cain,
Is your proxy info set up correctly? This is a common cause of failure. Is your DMC 1.1 install an upgrade or new install?
I have not seen any field issues yet on warranty for 1.1.

I'm having the same issue with the Warranty Extractor task.
I believe I'm running the latest version of the DMC 1.1 and I didn't see any additional hotfixes on SIM.
Am I missing something?

Rob,
I thought I had turned the proxy off when I had tried it in the past. I just tried it again and it seems to be working.
Thanks,
Josh
