web interface not working

Question

Hi all, Hoping you can help.  Running the Openmanage IT assistant 6.5 on a windows 2003 server.  We originally installed the openmanage It assistant w/out having iis installed, so the web interface was never installed.  I have done a reinstall over the original install since we have all of our options and servers setup in the database already.  The web interface stuff does not get installed into the www root at all. Do I need to completely uninstall openmanage it assistant and then re-install to get the web stuff to install?  Is there a way to save all of our files so I don't have to redo the setup of all servers all  over again?   Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul,   It Assistant 6.5 no longer has the web interface. The next version of IT Assistant should be addressing this issue.

Hi Ramona,  Thanks for the info and reply.  If I wanted to downgrade to 6.4 would I lose all of my settings if I uninstalled 6.5 and installed 6.4?

To prevent a loss of your settings, please go to Program Files\Dell\OpenManage\IT Assistant\bin and run dcdbmng.exe. This will bring up the IT Assistant database. Then you will have an Action menu with the options to Export and Import the database. I would note any special settings that you have, but these options should help you!
